What is the main difference between the video backgrounds offered by 123PPT and the video backgrounds offered by Crystal Grpahics?
There are many differences between the professional video backgrounds for PowerPoint provided by 123PPT and the video clips proivded by Crystal Graphics.
Primarily the main difference is that the video artists and graphic professionals of 123PPT create our video backgrounds which not only allows us to customize and create variation of video backgrounds for our customers on demand, but also ensure the quality of each and every video backgrounds we provide. Opposite to 123PPT, Crystal Graphics is merely a third-party reseller of video backgrounds and other media created by other companies and designers. More than this, and because Crystal Graphics have no control over the quality or media they merely resell, Crystal Graphics only provide video backgrounds in 4:3 aspect ratio and not in 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios as the majority of computer monitors, screens and televisions display and operate in today. |

Are the 123PPT Video Background Collections compatible with the Crystal Graphics PowerPlugs: video backgrounds player?
Absolutely. In fact if you already own the Crystal Graphics PowerPlugs: video backgrounds player using professional video backgrounds from the 123PPT Video Background Collections will most certainly help and improve the quality of your final presentation. |
Are the video backgrounds Crystal Graphics offer and resell compatible with the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio?
Technically yes, however, we do not recommend the video backgrounds offered by Crystal Graphics. Mainly because Crystal Graphics do not create, or make any of their own video backgrounds. Crystal Graphics is a third-party reseller of other creative content and so have no control over the quality of their video backgrounds, PowerPoint Templates, photo images, or other media resources.
In addition to this, the majority of video backgrounds offered by Crystal Graphics are of poor low quality, and so do not lend themsevles well to full screen video presentations. Video data rates of less than 2000 Kilobytes per second provide poor "fuzzy" quality when played at full screen. The majority of Crystal Graphics video backgrounds provide only 800 Kilobytes per second data rates and so are unsuitable for full screen presentations.
In addition to this and perhaps most importantly of all 123PPT does not recommend Crystal Graphics video backgrounds because they are created at just 15 frames per second. (Approximately half the frame rate of 123PPT video backgrounds). |

Are the video backgrounds Powered Templates offer and resell compatible with the 123PPT Video Backgrounds Studio?
Technically yes, however, just like Crystal Graphics, Powered Templates is a third-party reseller of other creative content and so have no control over the quality of their video backgrounds, PowerPoint Templates, clipart, and other media resources.
Sadly just like Crystal Graphics, all Powered Templates video backgrounds are created at low frame rates of just 15 frames per second.
In addition all Powered Template video backgrounds are encoded at data rates of over 5000 Kilobytes per second which are too high to allow smooth play back in PowerPoint and so cannot be used as video backgrounds in any version of PowerPoint. |

Can you explain what the problems are in using video backgrounds with low video frame rates?
Low video frame rates mean that the video itself plays more "jerky", slowly, and unsmooth. When video is played at frame rates as slow as 15 frames per second your eye can actually see each frame of the video. Imagine if you went to the movies or sat down in front of your television set and could actually count the frames as they played. Not only would you begin to become extremely irritated, but also quickly distracted and bored by the animated images attempting to create the illusion of fluid film. Now imagine how your audience feels if you create a presentation based on 15 frames per second?
Every video background from 123PPT is created at full 25 frames per second the same standards used in film and television production. Our video backgrounds are created this way to always provide your audience with smooth full screen fluid videos that do not jerk, stutter, or allow your audience to count frames or see loops.
Only 123PPT video backgrounds provide a professional full screen viewing experience for your audience. |

Can you explain what the problems are in using video backgrounds with high or low video data transfer rates?
Video data transfer rates are measured in kilobytes per second, and is the amount of processing power, memory, graphics memory, and system capabilities your PC requires in order to transfer and process video data and display it simultaneously.
Whilst low data transfer rates create the problems of fuzzy, blurred, poor quality video when played at full screen, excessive and overly high video data transfer rates have the opposite affect and create inverse viewing problems.
Video data transfer rates such as those used by Powered Templates in their third-party video backgrounds are fixed at 5300 Kilobytes per second. This excessive data transfer rate not only slows down any attempt of PowerPoint to play the video file, but due to necessary system resources required to transfer and display the video data simultaneously, slows down and stops the playing of any presentation on all but the newest and higher specification system machine types. Excessive data transfer rates make the ability to use the video file as a PowerPoint Background on any regular PC, laptop, or workstation impractical. More than this, if your intention is to create a PowerPoint presentation for distribution or viewing on other machines, the majority of users would not be able to run the video background in PowerPoint due to the system resources that PowerPoint itself alone requires.
Every video background from 123PPT is encoded with variable bit rate encoding to 2009 Kilobytes per second (DVD quality). Variable bit rate encoding means that should your full screen full motion video PowerPoint presentation play on other computers the video quality will itself scale and adjust automatically from DVD quality down to that which the machine is able to display without reducing resolution, screen size, or frame rate, to ensure that your audience will always receive the optimal viewing experience. |
